Netbook Battery Tips:
Netbook batteries come with a smaller and lighter
Li-ion battery that is either a 3-cell, 6-cell or 9-cell battery pack. Netbooks are very small in size,
so the battery is typically half the size of a full size laptop battery. Typical battery life of a 3-cell netbook battery is 2-3 hours
before it has to be recharged again. 6-cell and 9-cell netbook batteries can last longer, but tend to weigh 2-3 times the amount of a
3-cell battery. All netbooks should be fully recharged before use. Keep the net book battery in a cool location, away from heat and
moisture. Avoid damaging netbook battery cells by not dropping or hitting them. If your netbook battery does not last very long, it
would be a good idea to get a replacement netbook battery.
Aftermarket netbook batteries are available and can replace OEM batteries. Our aftermarket batteries
will meet and exceed OEM power specifications with UL, CE, FCC and RoHS standards. Some aftermarket battery packs are available in extended
versions of 6-cell and 9-cell battery packs.
A netbook’s battery life can be increased by applying some power saving tricks. Under Start > Control Panel > Power Options turn
on the ‘Power Saver’ option and shut off components like the hard drive and monitory after it has not been used for 10 minutes. Dim the
netbook LCD screen backlighting as it can add another 30-45 minutes of battery life. Disable all wireless, Bluetooth and USB connections
if they are not being used. Turn off any unnecessary processes and applications running in Windows. Add more memory to your netbook so
less virtual memory is used on the hard drive. And last, use hibernation mode instead of standby on your net book as it uses less power.
By following some of these power saving tips, you can gain and extra hour or two out of your netbook battery life.
